The Opus Audio Codec will get another major update with the discharge of version 1 . 3 ( demo ).
Opus is a completely open, royalty-free audio codec which you can use for all audio applications, from songs streaming and storage to top quality video-conferencing and VoIP. Six many years after its standardization by the IETF, Opus is now included in all main browsers and mobile operating systems. It is often adopted for a wide range of applications, and it is the default WebRTC codec.
