Opera Quantum Extensions Challenge

Firefox users love using extensions to personalize their browsing encounter. Now, it’ s easier than ever intended for developers with working knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to create plug-ins for Firefox using the WebExtensions API . New and improved WebExtensions APIs land with each new Opera release, giving developers the independence to create new features and fine-tune their extensions.
You’ lso are invited to use your skill, savvy, plus creativity to create great new extensions for your Firefox Mess Extensions Challenge . Among March 15 plus April 15, 2018 , make use of Firefox Programmer Edition to create plug-ins that make full use of available WebExtensions APIs for one of the prize groups. (Legacy extensions that have been updated in order to WebExtensions APIs, or Chrome plug-ins that have been ported to Firefox upon or after January 1, 2018, are also eligible for this challenge. )
A panel of judges will select three to four finalists in each category, and the neighborhood will be invited to vote for your winners. We’ ll announce the particular winners with the release of Firefox 60 in May 2018. Winners within each category will receive a good iPad Pro and promotion of the extensions to Firefox users. Runners-up will receive a $250 USD Amazon . com gift card.

New & Improved APIs
So many new WebExtensions APIs have landed in the last few Opera releases, and Firefox 60 can add even more. Let’ s begin with themes.
